Southern politicians and racism, Alabama edition
Senator Tommy Tuberville has used some non-coded racist language in response to Zohran Mamdani's primary victory in NYC.
Everyone's favorite fake Alabama resident and senator said the quiet part out loud again.

Of course, this is in response to a muslim-American winning the NYC mayoral primary. Every shade of brown equals evil to these white supremacist assholes. If you aren't white, rich, and elite, you are the scum of the earth. I'm about as white as it gets, but I'm sure his ire will turn to poor white folks too once they hopefully realize they are being played for fools.
It's a story that goes back to Reconstruction. Divide poor people of all races so you can repeated screw them over.
For what it's worth, I wish Mamdani all the success in the world. And the furor that ensues is pure Islamophobia. When will that get treated the same way as anti-semitism?
